Stop the Gossip

I have seen tens of tens of articles and opinions by all kinds of people from political junkies to media commentators to policy talking heads.

I am still trying to figure out what they are commenting about.

Has ANYONE seen the actual MoU that will be signed on Friday?

In short, the answer is NO.

The only “document” that has been in the public sphere is the fake 14-point piece put out by the Iranian government which was quickly shot down by President Trump as a complete lie.

But most disappointing to me is the attitude of some in the Jewish and Iranian communities who seem to have quickly forgotten that this President is the first since 1979 to take on Iran in a meaningful way. They have repeated the Iranian regime lie that the agreement includes “Lebanon”, implying that Israel will lose the right to defend itself against Hezbollah. They have made assumptions, once again based on Iranian regime propaganda (since there is nothing else out there on this topic), about what is in this agreement regarding sanctions, economic development, destruction of nuclear “dust” etc etc.

Unsurprisingly, but disgustingly, the Trump haters want this effort to fail simply because they want the President to fail. The same people who claim they care about Gaza and Palestinians are apparently willing to sacrifice the Iranian people to push their anti-Trump agenda. Even worse, pro-Israel Trump haters (seems like a contradiction in terms, but in Canada is is exceedingly common) have gleefully declared this effort a failure.

Personally, I will wait until the details are released. I think all of you should too.
